Fortune's Shawlette

-breedte: 170cm
-hoogte: 80cm

Patroon:
Fortune's Shawlette - Tamara Kelly (video tutorials & chart)
Fortune's Shawlette - Nederlands
Garen: Scheepjes -  Silvi (color code 5; 3 1/2 bol)
Haaknaald: 12mm

This shawlette is a present for my grandmother.
She prefers a warm, cosy shawl and therefore I used a thick yarn from the Sheepjes winter collection. The wrap says the yarn is suitable for a 8mm crochet hook, but knowing I crochet rather tight I started using a 10mm hook. The result was a very dense mass of yarn in which the individual stitches were hard to see. Going up to a 12mm hook turned out to be the solution and I am very happy with the result.

Fortune's Shawlette is fun to make. The pattern is easy to follow and the left- and right handed video tutorials come in handy every once and a while.

I was a little disappointed by the yarn. Almost every skein had a knot in it. As I do not like knots in my work I cut them out and tried to color match as much as possible. Due to the color gradient it was hard sometimes. One skein even lacked part of the color gradient pattern: instead of pink, the yarn went from green to light brown.

The result:
-31 rows
-4 edging rows, of which the last one is single crochet instead of the CH - Sl St pattern
-width: 170cm (unblocked)
-depth: 80cm (unblocked)

Pattern: Fortune's Shawlette - Tamara Kelly (video tutorials & chart)
Yarn: Scheepjes -  Silvi (color code 5; 3 1/2 skein)
Crochet Hook: 12mm
