First try of the Flare Leggings and I love how they look. The fit is OK, but next time I'll probably go one size up as it they are a little too tight around my upper legs and hips to be super comfortable.

Kirsten Kimono Tee

The Kirsten Kimono Tee is one of my favourite shirts.  I love how it fits and how versatile it is, depending on the fabric you use. 

This is one of the 'fancier' ones, with a slightly adjusted neckline. As usual I cut the neckline with a 2cm seam allowance, although I forgot to add extra space at the shoulder seams. So it would lie flat when folded in. Therefore I added a facing (correct English terminology? , beleg in Dutch).

As usual I also added 2cm to the lenght of the Tee.

Dolman sleeve top

Another of my favourite top patterns: the Dolmann sleeve top. 

This time I went for a slightly slimmer fit and made a size S instead of the usual M. I did make some adjustments: 

• Sleeves + 10cm
• Lentgh +4cm (2cm at waist and 2 at the hem)
• Front neckline size S at shoulderseam and size L center front (so it sits a little higher)

I am really looking forward to wearing this one when the weather cools down. Love the fall colours.

Jalie 3244

Een onesie voor J, aangezien er weinig leuke exemplaren voor jongens te vinden zijn. Hij heeft aangegeven welke kleuren hij graag zou willen en uiteindelijk hebben we samen beslist welke stoffen het moesten worden. 

Het verzoek was een onesie met capuchon en kangaroo-zak ipv zij-zakken. Het Jalie patroon was gemakkelijk aan te passen met een capuchon van Greenstyle Creations en het patroon van de zak is geïnspireerd op een patroon van 5 out of 4.

Het eindresultaat: een blije J met een onesie waar hij nog even in kan groeien.

It's finally done! After almost 2 years I have completed a fully lined Sundance Jacket with large(r) pockets. 

Although I love the first Sundance Jacket I made, it is a little tight in some places (mainly the waist and the upper sleeves). As lining adds bulk, I decided to go one size up for the bust and hips, and two for the waist (compared to the first one that is a straight size S).

Waimea Bottoms

The colours in the picture are nowhere near the real colours. They are supposed to be petrol and a coral-based bright multicoloured fabric.

waszakken

Zelf waszakken maken hoeft niet moeilijk te zijn. Als voorbeeld heb ik een versleten waszakje gebruikt dat ik jaren geleden gekocht heb.

Benodigdheden:

• dunne, zachte stof (mesh/gaas)
  
• koordje
• koordstopper
  

Alle drie de waszakken hebben dezelfde hoogte, maar de breedte is net iets anders. Mijn werkwijze: 

• knip rechthoeken met een lange kant van 90cm en een korte kant van 35-40cm
• leg de twee korte kanten op elkaar waardoor een rechthoek van 45 bij 35-40cm ontstaat
• lock de 2 langste naden (ik heb een rolzoom met 4 draden gebruikt), laat daarbij aan een van de naden de bovenkant een stukje (~7cm) open voor de koordtunnel
  
• lock het open stukje naad (enkele laag stof) en de bovenkant van de waszak voor een nette afwerking
  
• vouw ca 2cm van de bovenkant om en stik deze door met de naaimachine, zodat een koordtunnel ontstaat
• koordje door de tunnel rijgen, stopje erop en dichtknopen

Maat: geknipt: breedte 35-40cm, lengte 90cm, koordtunnel: 2cm hoog
Stof: mesh/gaas
