First try of the Flare Leggings and I love how they look. The fit is OK, but next time I'll probably go one size up as it they are a little too tight around my upper legs and hips to be super comfortable.

It's finally done! After almost 2 years I have completed a fully lined Sundance Jacket with large(r) pockets. 

Although I love the first Sundance Jacket I made, it is a little tight in some places (mainly the waist and the upper sleeves). As lining adds bulk, I decided to go one size up for the bust and hips, and two for the waist (compared to the first one that is a straight size S).

Waimea Bottoms

The colours in the picture are nowhere near the real colours. They are supposed to be petrol and a coral-based bright multicoloured fabric.

Cami Tank - Greenstyle

Test version of the Cami Tank. This is the full length version without the shelf bra. The back of the cami is pieced as I didn't have enough fabric for a 1-piece back (as it is supposed to be).

Chelsea Pants

Een hele fijne, comfortabele broek: de Chelsea Pants van Greenstyle Creations. Dit is de eerste keer dat ik dit patroon gebruik, maar zeker niet de laaste keer! Door de stofkeuze lijkt het een nette broek, maar zit zij zo comfortabel als een joggingbroek. De onderkant van de pijpen heb ik aangepast naar de wijdte van mijn favoriete jeans, waardoor de pijpen 6cm smaller geworden zijn.

Aanpassingen:

• 
  onderkant 6cm smaller gemaakt, naar voorbeeld van favoriete jeans. Patroon op 3 plaatsen ingeknipt tot knie-lijn en in de omtrek bij de zoom steeds 2cm verwijderd.

 

Those Chelsea pants by Greenstyle Creations are very, very comfortable, although they (almost) look like jeans or dress pants. I will certainly use this pattern again! The only adjustment that I made is narrowing the legs by 6cm, based on my favorite pair of jeans.

Alterations:

• removed 6cm of the width of the legs, by cutting the pattern from bottom to about the knee-line 3 times. At each cut, I removed 2cm of width at the bottom and tapered that towards the knee.

Sundance Jacket

In search of a pattern for a comfortable jacket I came across Sundance Jacket by Greenstyle Creations and loved the look. To give it a try I used some leftover fabric from the 'Kuschelkleid' by AnniNanni. 

The pattern has several options and I decided to go with:
-plain back
-stand-up collar
-long sleeves without cuffs
-in-seam pockets

Some changes/adjustments that were made:
-According to the size chart I would have to grade from size XS - M - S, but I decided to go with a full size S instead (I like my garments to have a looser fit at the top/ near the armpits). 
-There might be a purpose for the centre back seam, but I decided to eliminate it.
-no zippers in the pockets

The zipper I had on hand turned out to be a little too short (60cm, should have bought 65cm), so I decided to eliminate the zipper lining to be able to adjust the zipper placement somewhat. Otherwise construction was as per instructions, which were easy to follow.

Some issues I'll have to keep in mind/ fix next time:
-Enough room around bust/arm scye area and hip, but the waist is a little tight --> should have graded as indicated by the size chart
-Tight lower sleeve --> widen towards wrist
-Use, and maybe shorten, a 65cm zipper
-The hem on back stands out a little --> hem facing too long? , fabric stretched?
-Tape in shoulder seams to prevent stretching of the seam
-Add pocket zippers
-In case of fully lined jacket: size up 1 or 2 sizes

All in all it is a fun pattern to sew and the jacket looks amazing. The next one will be in a bright red sweatshirt fabric and fully lined with red cotton lycra.

Hooded Studio to Street Crop Top

After finishing the muslin I changed a few things before cutting into the fabric for the 'official' top:
-Based on my overbust measurements I needed a size S top, as I did for the muslin. As I thought that turned out too big, I decided to go with my full bust measurements this time and size down to a XS.
-Than I added 3cm to the length of the top and the sleeves as I have a long torso.
-As I prefer my sleeves not to be tight, I widened the armholes to be a similar to a size S by adding 1cm to the bottom of the sleeve insert (?).
-And for the same reason I also graded the sleeves from a size S at the top to a size M at the bottom.

I also decided to use the hood add-on this time (and I love it!). I did make some changes, however:
-Added lining
-Removed the 'fold-over fabric' from the pattern, as the cording could run between the outer fabric and lining.
To make the cording, I used a strip of lining fabric.

Love how this top turned out! Both the fit and the fabrics. This pattern is so much fun and the top is extremely comfy. The lining made the hood a little heavy, but that doesn't bother me.

Studio to Street Crop Top

Muslin to check the fit and sizing of the pattern. The fabric not really suitable, but works well enough for this purpose. Based on this test version, decided to size down 1 size and lengthen the front and back a little.

Valentine pole set

 "Please wear something red during the pole fitness class on Valentines Day", a request I was not (yet) prepared for. Luckily I bought some beautiful black-red-pink spandex recently and also had a piece of black performance fabric in the stash. Although the Clara shorts (Jalie 3887) are my go-to pattern, I decided to go with the shorts from Jalie 2563 this time as they have a nice little insert on the leg. 
For the bra I wasn't sure: Jalie 3247 with criss-cross straps or Greenstyle Creations power sports bra with strappy U back. After finishing the bottoms, the power sports bra seemed to complement the style/ fabric best.
